Nature trail along the Danube River in Nagymaros

As a result of the grant programme of the Municipality of Nagymaros, a nature trail has been created which presents the natural values ​​of the Danube Bend in an interesting way. Owing to the fact that this area is very open, the message of this grant programme may not only be conveyed to the local population but also to those who visit the village. The educational path filled with different types of rock provides a new kind of experience to the visitors, while the interactive information boards placed along the path enable hikers to get to know these endemic rocks in a fun and exciting way.

The local government has won DDC’s HUF 1.000.000 sponsorship for the establishment of the Börzsöny Rock Educaional Path. The ceremonial opening of the event was held on the 29th of September, 2017. The path located in Nagymaros is the 28th delivered Green Solution project since the launch of the program in 2011.
