Eco Kids Park in Drávaszabolcs

The purpose of the “KölyÖKOpark” (Eco Kids Park) of the Treasure of Dráva Kindergarten and Talent Centre is to help small children to familiarize themselves with herbs and birds and thus teach them to appreciate “green” values. The park, which is established in the courtyard of the local kindergarten, includes a “lavender labyrinth”, a “sensor path”, a bird watching station, and other interactive equipment as well. The Eco Kids Park will most probably be open not only for children attending the kindergarten, but also for a larger community. The implementation of this project was supported by a HUF 1.000.000 grant from DDC. 

At the opening, which was commemorated with an official delivery ceremony held on the 18th of September by the representatives of the kindergarten and Duna-Dráva Cement Kft., Ádám Müller, director of the Beremend Plant of DDC expressed his compliments towards the implementation of the project. In his speech the director stressed that we need more green projects like this in the future in order to encourage children to get to know the natural environment.
