Green Island

With the application entitled “Green Island” the Vokány Kindergarten and Canteen aims to shape the environment-related attitudes of children who go there and through them their families, as well as to offer education to think in an environmentally conscious way and to live in harmony with nature. To achieve their goals, their efforts include the planning of interactive presentations for children and their parents and the creation of an “Active Shed” within the kindergarten to demonstrate sustainable development.

The project, which DDC supported by HUF 500.000 was ceremonially unveiled on 20 October 2021 in the presence of representatives of the municipality, the jury of the Green Solution tender, and DDC.
