To live in a liveable environment

The project of Janikovszky Éva Primary School of Kozármisleny consists of the “recycling” of a part of the institution. Its goal is to make everyday life more comfortable to the children with the utilization of environmentally conscious materials and sharing information about the nature. This Green Solution was supported by DDC with HUF 1.300.000.

The main goal of the project is to create so called “rest islands” in currently unused spaces. These islands are intended to make the morning and afternoon hours, and the periods between the classes, which are usually spent with waiting, cosier. In these areas furniture made of recycled pallets are to be placed, thereby raising their awareness of the importance of recycling. A TV screen mounted above the furniture will feature educational films in order to make the waiting more colourful. And to bring the nature close to the children, flower stands made of these pallets will also be installed. The walls are to be painted with nature-themed art, which helps to deepen the knowledge of the children, and at the same time creates a more upbeat learning environment, by bringing the nature and the love of the environment to the school.

The ceremonious handover of the project was held on 4th October, where the school and its maintaner took part. From the side of DDC, Ádám Müller plant director welcomed the participants.
